{"id":583,"date":"2019-07-14T17:38:32","date_gmt":"2019-07-14T17:38:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/support.unicommerce.com\/?p=1"},"modified":"2025-09-11T16:56:21","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T11:26:21","slug":"what-are-unfulfillable-orders-and-how-to-fix-them","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/support.unicommerce.com\/index.php\/knowledge-base\/what-are-unfulfillable-orders-and-how-to-fix-them\/","title":{"rendered":"What are Unfulfillable Orders and How to Fix Them"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><b><a href=\"#Refvideo1\">Click here for Tutorial Video \u2013 English<\/a><br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><a href=\"#Refvideo2\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><b>Click here for Tutorial Video \u2013 Hindi<\/b><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/12gC0EjOdQfkQ1psleHhGthCTyLjNnVYI\/view\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Click Here to access the training session video.<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once an order is created, the system automatically checks and blocks inventory for the order items in all the pending orders.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Order Items which are <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">fulfillable <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(inventory available in warehouse) are created as a shipment, while those which are <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">unfulfillable <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">are to be purchased and its inventory updated then.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thus, an order item is marked:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Fulfillable<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: System automatically checks for inventory and marks in-stock order items as fulfillable.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Unfulfillable<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The order item rows, for which products are not available in inventory, will be marked as Unfulfillable, which implies that when total inventory of a product = 0, it becomes unfulfillable. And when the inventory is received, the order item status is updated to Fulfillable.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If we replenish the inventory for unfulfillable order items, they will become fulfillable. To add inventory, you may click on \u201cAdd Inventory\u201d button on this page<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-9823\" src=\"http:\/\/support.unicommerce.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/OOS_29052023_2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"591\" height=\"494\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You may fill in the mandatory fields here:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Item SKU Code<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inventory Type<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shelf Code<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quantity to be Added<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You may choose the inventory type-<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Good Inventory<\/strong>&#8211; For adding saleable item<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Bad Inventory<\/strong>&#8211; For adding bad\/broken items\/non-saleable items<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Virtual Inventory<\/strong>&#8211; For adding \u201cJust In Time\u201d inventory<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">then, Click on Submit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, you can go back on your order and click on the item to check the status.
