As per recent changes notified by the Government of India, new GST rates will be applicable on certain product categories starting 22nd September 2025. To ensure a smooth transition and full compliance, we are updating GST configurations in Uniware.
Please review the following carefully and take the necessary actions in time.
Key Points & Actions Required
- GST Tax Classes
- If needed, create new GST tax classes in Uniware.
- You can follow Uniware’s guide on how to add tax classes here: How to Add Tax Class in Uniware (support.unicommerce.com)
- Map all products whose GST rate has changed to the correct new tax classes.
- GST 2.0 Migration Import
- A new import option named GST 2.0 Migration will be available from 16th September 2025 onwards.
- Import file must include these fields:
- Uniware SKU Code (mandatory)
- GST Tax Class Code (mandatory)
- MRP (optional)
- You can upload mappings using this file anytime from 16th September until the migration cut-off.
- Timelines
- New GST rates will be applied to invoices created from 22nd September 2025, 2:00 AM onwards.
- Please do not invoice any shipments between 12:00 AM and 2:00 AM on 22nd September 2025.
- Updated tax classes/mappings will be visible in product listings from 2:00 AM on 22nd September 2025.
- Verification & Corrections
- The new mappings won’t appear in the Uniware UI until 22nd September, 2:00 AM.
- However, you can export the GST 2.0 Migration mappings anytime after uploading them to verify.
- If needed, you may re-upload the mapping file before 22nd September for corrections.
- Invoices & Returns
- Old GST rates will apply to all invoices created before 2:00 AM on 22nd September 2025.
- Returns will be invoiced at the same GST rate as the forward order, irrespective of the return date.
- If you reprint an old invoice after 22nd September, the old GST rates will still be printed, but the new MRP (if updated) will be used (MRP is always fetched in real time).
- Order Handling
- For orders created before 22nd September but invoiced on or after that date:
- Shopify: Resync the orders to fetch updated details.
- Other websites integrated with Uniware: Delete and resync the orders.
- Custom API integrations: Delete and re-push the orders.

- For orders created before 22nd September but invoiced on or after that date:
- Price Updates / MRPs
- You will need to manually update product prices on your website/marketplaces; Uniware does not push price changes to external platforms.
Important Points
- Do not invoice between 12:00 AM – 2:00 AM on 22nd September 2025.
- GST 2.0 Migration Import/Export will be available from 16th September 2025.
