Multi Language Font Handling in Export & Import Reports

This page details the procedure for multi language font handling in Export & Import reports in Uniware.

Scope:

• Export reports can now support data of any language from any specific country.

• Hassle of us converting individually for a singular language like arabic removed.

• All major excel tools are able to auto-decode UTF-8 language.

• our system is encoded the export reports data into language = UTF-8 in order to provide support for all languages across globe

  1. External tools like excel / sheets etc can automatically.

  2. PII data for users who doesn’t have unmasking rights shall remain masked.

Procedure

Once user take export from uniware by the defined way e.g export by report options. He can get auto language support and data will be visible in to the desried language.

Any user having a export report having PII Unmasked Data containing Arabic/Any Language Letters (Apart from english)

1. It automatically publishes correct & decoded data (ie actual say arabic language data shall be shown)

1. Format = XLS

   • It automatically publishes correct & decoded data (i.e. actual say arabic language data shall be shown)

2. Format = CSV → It shows UTF Encoded Data

   • CSV format poses a challenge as it doesn’t directly decode Arabic Data

   • It gives UTF-8 encoded data

   • Which further needs to be decoded / converted into Arabic via a few manual steps in Excel itself

   • Reference StepsCSV file with Arabic characters is displayed as symbols in Excel

1. If we upload the CSV file in it
