To generate EwayBill for the forward Shipments and Gatepass follow the below steps.
A- To generate EwayBill for the forward Shipments follow the below steps.
- Saving Credentials: at EwayBill portal at the billing party level, An option to save the username and password-
1- EwayBill User 2- EwayBill Password 3- Client ID 4- Client Secret
- Eway Bill Generation: if Shipment status > ‘PACKED’, “Generate EwayBill“ action in the Shipment page is there, A Pop-up to capture the transporter details from the user. If Ewaybill already exists then ‘Regenerate EwayBill’ action is shown instead of ‘Generate EwayBill’.
Following details are to be captured on the pop-up:
Transporter ID*, Transporter Name, Trans Doc No, Trans Mode (Road/Rail/Air/Ship/InTransit), Trans Distance, TransDocDate, Vehicle No, Vehicle Type (R/O).
*Mandatory
On submit of the above information, the following received are saved-
- Eway Bill No
- E-way Bill Genration Date
- Valid up to Date
B- To generate EwayBill for the gatepass follow the below steps.
Following details are to be captured on the pop-up:
Transporter ID*, Transporter Name, Trans Doc No, Trans Mode (Road/Rail/Air/Ship/InTransit), Trans Distance, TransDocDate, Vehicle No, Vehicle Type (R/O).

If Ewaybill already exists then ‘Regenerate EwayBill’ action is shown instead of ‘Generate EwayBill’.
Print Eway Bill: To Print Eway Bill, On the click on named ‘Print EwayBill’ button, pdf link is opened on another tab.

Reports: EwayBill Number, Valid Up to and Eway Bill generation date to are included in the following reports –
- Sale Orders
- Shipping Package
- Invoice
Note:
- To enable this feature EwayBillThirdPartyScript must be enabled.
- Eway Bill generation is available only for forward transactions and Gatepass.
- Eway Bill can not be cancelled by uniware. For this, you need to copy the Eway Bill no. and go to Eway Bill portal to cancel it.
- As per govt compliance, Consignment value exceeding Rs.50,000/- in motorized conveyance. Seller needs to pass the EwayBill details to shipper and related finance bodies.
- “GstEinvoice Seller Credentials” import is used to save Eway bill credentials in uniware.
